Abstract

This study discussed the significant role played by the Saudi army princes in the first Saudi State in annexing the eastern region of the country (including Al-Ahsa and its surroundings and the destinations of Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain). Among the most important of these leaders were Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz, known as "Saud Al-Kabir," and the Al-Afaysan family (Sulaiman and his son Ibrahim), who made great efforts in expanding the state in the eastern region, particularly in the destinations of Qatar and Bahrain. In addition, Mutlaq Al-Mutairy and his brother Battal, Salim Al-Harq, played a major role in the expansion and stabilization of the Saudi State in the destinations of Oman until the end of the first Saudi State in 1233 AH/1818.
