Abstract
The god Seth has been associated with brutality and violence since his birth. He also killed his brother Osiris and cut off his body out because of jealousy and hatred. This was the reason for using his sign as a determinative within some words associated with the meanings of evil, anger, and chaos, whether by using his animal determinative or or the determinative of the sitting man with head of Seth . The latter is the subject of this research paper, where the words that end with it express the meanings of illness, suffering and affliction. They were mentioned in various textual resources sources which will be studied here to determine the contexts in which they were used. It also aims to track the different textual sources that included it.
