Abstract

The research aims to study the various architectural facilities established by Mustafa Agha bin Abdul Rahim Agha Dar Al Saada, whether by construction, renovation, or purchase from others, or which he rented for a long period and made an endowment for it, an archaeological and documentary study through the evidence of his endowment preserved in the archive of the Ministry of Endowments under No. “302,” and to determine the location of every facility and its function. Knowing its architectural style and layout, which has disappeared and which still remains, and comparing what remains with what came from it under the pretext of endowment to know what its architectural condition has reached. As for what has disappeared, the study determines its location and its architectural layout through the argument of the endowment, and creates a visualization of its architectural condition, and knowledge of its style, layout, and decorations, in addition to the building materials that were used. Especially since the types of buildings he built varied, ranging from commercial buildings such as agencies and various religious and civil annexes attached to them, and social care facilities such as barns, tanks, and troughs, or civil buildings, whether they were houses, palaces, or popular housing for the poor and the general public, which is the quarter, in addition to its uniqueness. Endowment a “Manzara” to a palace which disappeared with it,
referring to his other endowments that came under the pretext of endowment, knowing the aspects of spending on employers and craftsmen in his establishments, and knowing the various charitable spending aspects that represent a reflection of the thought of the upper class of princes and wealthy people during the Ottoman era.
