Abstract

Registering and documenting archaeological artifacts is an important and essential step in the restoration and maintenance of antiquities. With the continued advancement of modern technology, graphic programs and artificial intelligence have played an important role in the field of documenting antiquities, due to their accuracy in achieving the desired results and the ability to continuously apply modifications to the artifact to clarify the desired details. As a result, modern technology has come to simulate the antiquity to obtain matching or close results to the artifact with high accuracy. The problem with research lies in that traditional methods may not always provide the desired results. Therefore, this research aims to practically apply graphic programs to document several archaeological models using several engineering, design, geographic, and artificial intelligence programs, namely Photoshop, Google Earth, AutoCAD, and Narakeet. It aims to demonstrate the accuracy of graphic and artificial documentation to obtain digital documentation of the artifact. Photoshop is used to use neutral color grades of black and white that show the precise details that are not clear in colors. Google Earth is one of the programs that needs to be used continuously in the field of antiquities to identify archaeological sites in two-dimensional or three-dimensional form. The program is characterized by signing the changes that occur on the site from previous years to the present time at different times, whether during the day or at night. Meanwhile, the AutoCAD program simulates the artifact in two-dimensional and three-dimensional form and determines the desired dimensions, whether in millimeters, centimeters, or meters, and puts the optimal plans for the restoration and maintenance of antiquities after conducting a detailed study of the artifact using graphic programs and digital documentation, while artificial intelligence is used in audio documentation of archaeological.
